Jaz Affleck
Founder & CEO, Up2o
Jaz Affleck is a multidisciplinary designer, engineer and entrepreneur, and the Founder & CEO of Up2o, a Hong Kong environmental intelligence company.
He studied at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, and his work has focused on wearable and emerging technology. Jaz worked with Apple as an Advanced Wearable Concepts Designer, contributing to next-generation wearable technologies alongside Apple's Interaction Architecture team.
Up2o is developing new ways to understand environmental exposure. Exposure shapes how people live, work and move through cities, yet it remains poorly understood at the level of everyday experience. Up2o's mission is to make it visible, measurable and actionable. The company is supported through the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP).
Jaz believes environmental intelligence will become as fundamental to decision-making as maps, weather and satellite imagery are today. His ambition is for Up2o to become one of the world's leading environmental intelligence companies, helping cities, organisations and communities make better-informed decisions about the places people live and work.
